Hi Kevin, so tell us, how does working at Enterprise compare to life in the Armed Forces?
Not as different as you might expect. The camaraderie is the same. Everyone really looks out for each other here. That was one of the first things that attracted me to Enterprise. To be honest, I didn’t really know much about the company until I came across the website. I had some management experience and I was looking for a place where I could develop my career. That’s when I found out about this lot. I became hooked. I just really wanted to work here. The place, the people, the training programmes – it all sounded great. So, I decided to give it a go and apply.
A short time on and I’m already an Assistant Manager. And you know what the funny thing is? The reasons why I love working here are the same reasons I joined the company in the first place. Seriously, I work with some of the friendliest people you could ever wish to meet. They’re so professional and they really take pride in what they do.
Imagine if I hadn’t taken the chance and applied that day. I’d probably be stuck in some rubbish office job, doing the same thing day in day out without even knowing the name of the person sitting next to me. Instead, I get up every morning and I look forward to catching up with my team and our customers.
They say that the people make the place, but development opportunities are important too. I think the best thing about working here is that I’ve been given the chance to prove myself. I’ve achieved so much in such a short space of time. It’s hard to believe that I only joined two years ago. I’m already helping other trainees get to where they want to be. Let’s hope my career continues to progress in the same way because I’ve got my heart set on becoming a General Manager.
